SO. MUCH. FOOD. Y'ALL.
We had so much food at the 2nd Annual Planting Dinner! Yikes it was tasty. For the past 2 years before the planting season starts, we host a special "planting dinner". Traditionally, farmers that celebrate a harvest season usually have a Harvest Supper after their crops have come off in the fall and they can celebrate a good season. Due to us being in Montreal during the Harvest we have started a tradition to kick off the season with a nice family meal to get everyone geared up for the work thats coming! This year we worked our butts off to have a 100% Canadian ingredient meal! It was tough, and I am crazy, but Jake helped me out huge to be able to pull it off!
We had Piotrowski Pork kabobs, wedge salad with creamy dill dressing and our own bacon, bruschetta, pulled pork pizza and my personal favourite was the Skillet Bourbon Peach and Blueberry Crumble with home made vanilla ice cream! We had such a nice meal with our families and got in one big rally before the boys were busy in the fields!
